Meet Hopin Session
Clocking in with over 200K views, this is probably my most viewed video ever! It's driven entirely by motion graphics that involved weeks of storyboarding, animating, and revising. The challenge of this project was twofold: 1) maintain a consistent level of energy considering the script was longer and more detailed than most software launch videos, and, 2) replicating the design and functionality of the software in a stylized video. This required establishing a workflow between the product designers, who were using Figma to create assets, and myself using Adobe After Effects to do the animating.
My favorite part
Every frame of this video has a lot going on "under the hood". As mentioned, every element of the Hopin Session platform had to be rebuilt in After Effects for animating, which means everything that moves had a lot of thought behind it. In the end, I just love how the video came together so colorfully. I love the bold backgrounds! The opening café scene features some really cool motion-tracked text and effects.
